Mother of kidnapped children seek funds from Nigerians

It's been 5days now, that some certain Orekoya kids namely Aderomola Orekoya, 11 months, Adedamola Orekoya, 4 years old, and Demola Orekoya, 6 years old were kidnapped by their maid. Their mother took to her facebook page to say the children are in good conditions and that Nigerians should help donate towards the ransom of 15million naira which was demanded by the maid. So many reactions have trailed her comments on facebook. See them below.

In my own opinion, I just want to say that the security personal should be on top of the situation.  People's comment suggest that the children were kidnapped by someone close to them. And this issue of donations without a security operative is already sounding like a scam. I don't think any donations should be made by anyone, when we have yet to see a security expert on the issue. Moreover, madam you are not a negotiator or security expert, so please let the police do their jobs. Creating a social campaign to solicit for the ransom would only encourage kidnapping in the country because many would see it as a way to make money since the ransom would easily be raised through social networks. I believe the security operatives should be involved now and if they are not, I am using this medium to call on security personnel to please do something to find these leaders of tomorrow
