The first lady made this known during the Peoples Democratic Party women rally, under the umbrella of the Women for Change and Development Initiative, in Benin, Edo State. It was reported that the women had arrived as early as 9:00 in the morning, however, they began to leave the stadium at about 13:30 (GMT+1), when the first lady arrived at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, venue of the rally. She was accompanied by national and state leaders of the party.
