The yoruba movie veteran, Idowu Philips widely known as Iya Rainbow has released a gospel track titled 'Ore Ofe' from her forthcoming album, in which she featured the popular fuji musician, Pasuma. The actress who is 72 years old is no doubt exploring her creative talents through singing.
The actress in a chat with Daily Times revealed that she has a full gospel album recorded and ready to be released. The
album was recorded with Wasiu Alabi, popularly known as Pasuma, and it talks about how God
is a politician. She further stated that she has decided not to disclose the name of the album for
now, as she would be releasing some hot singles off the album first before the
launch proper.
Idowu Philips started her acting career in the year 1986 and she made her big break in the film industry with the movie, 'Asiri Nla'. At 72 years old, Iya rainbow is still looking young and elegant, so don't be surprised she just added singing to her talents. I haven't seen the track though but I'm sure it would be lovely because her movies for me were always superb.
