Apple Wristwatch
Apple recently released more information regarding its long-awaited wristwatch. The information released includes the price of the wristwatch, the battery life and the launch dates. The watch would go on sale in the United Kingdom on April 24, however, pre-order would be available from April 10 with prices between £299 - £8, 000 for the apple watch sport, apple watch standard and apple watch Edition. The information about the pricing and availability of the watches were made known at Apple's Spring Forward media event in San Francisco, where it also announced that the Apple watch will deliver up to 18 hours of battery life, and can be used to make and receive calls through an iphone. How incredible!

The apple watch comes in two sizes; 38mm and 42mm and there is a choice of three models, the apple watch sport which has an aluminum case, the apple watch standard which has a stainless steel and the apple watch Edition which has a rose 18 carat gold with different kinds of straps. Apple is said to have ordered about 5-6 million units from its suppliers in Asia and it is Apple's first original product since the iPad in 2010, so demand is anticipated to be high.

The watch is seen to be a new chapter in the way technology is being related to, said the Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook, as the watch also enables wearers to send messages, read email and answer calls to their iPhone directly from their wrist. This is just marvelous! According to Apple, the watch is incredibly accurate, claiming that it keeps time to within 50 milliseconds of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which is the universal time standard. The watch has a sapphire crystal display and a sidewinder, known as a digital crown, which can be used to zoom in, scroll and navigate the interface. The watch in addition to this also has a built-in accelerometer and heart rate sensor which together with GPS and Wi-Fi from an iPhone are able to track different types of motion and provide a comprehensive picture of the wearer’s all-day activity and workouts.

All these in a wristwatch and truly you can conclusively say that we are in the era of technological advancement. I am just astonished. Anyway, I can't wait to order for mine! Thumbs up for Apple.
