His Holiness Pope Francis turns actor, features in blockbuster movie

His Holiness Pope Francis takes up acting, Pope releases his first album in 2015 which got a mention at the Grammy He will be the first pope to do feature in a movie He will also be the first person to play himself in a movie

Pope Francis seems to have another calling aside papacy and it is entertainment. Sure if he had not embraced the bible he would have been an entertainer. The highly revered Pope made his first shot at entertainment when he dropped his first musical album titled WAKE UP last year. The album made a brazen ploy for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album Grammy.


Still working on his entertaining yet educative talent, according to Vulture.com,the 79-year-old pontiff will be playing the role of a pope in the movie BEYOND  THE SUN  which is based on the gospels of Jesus Christ. The Christian movie is being produced by AMBI pictures. Pope Francis asked AMBI pictures to make a movie that communicated Jesus’ message to children. All profits from the film are expected to go to Argentinian charities El Alemendro and Los Hogares de Cristo which aid at-risk children and young adults. The photography of the movie is set to take off early this year in Italy.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis has described himself as “a sinner” in need of God’s mercy. The Papa made the striking declaration in an upcoming book where he also urged the Catholic Church to focus on its mission as a grassroots, hands-on organisation.
